In the wake of COVID-19 pandemic situation, our supply chain has hugely been affected and we had to reduce our stocks of some of our products (particularly hydrosols and body butters). We will be back in stock with most of our products once things start getting back to normal. Apart from this, almost all of the essential oils, carrier oils and absolutes are in stock with us. We request your patience and understanding during these difficult times.

Our organically crafted Apricot Kernel Oil is cold pressed from the kernels of the Prunus armeniaca, commonly referred to as the Armenian Plum. Apricot Kernel Oil is a rich-textured, nourishing oil that is quickly and easily absorbed by the skin; it is a fine source of vitamins A, E and K, fatty acids, phytosterols, and polyphenols, including a high percentage of unsaturated fatty acids, particularly Linoleic (Omega 6) and Oleic (Omega 9) acids.

Apricot Kernel Oil is considered to be an all-purpose and non-irritable oil, and is prized for its excellent emollient, softening and nourishing benefits for dry, irritated skin. Apricot Seed Oil is widely used in massage oils, soaps, body butters & lotions, hand & skin creams and hair care products, but is suitable for almost all cosmetic applications.

REPORTED BENEFITS AND USES

Apricot Kernel Oil's light consistency and ability to absorb quickly into the skin means it is especially suited to facial beauty treatments, where it delivers moisture to dry and mature skin types. Apricot Kernel Oil may be incorporated into any skin and body care preparations, or can be used on its own. When used in soap making, Apricot Kernel Oil saponifies easily and yields a mild soap with good lather. The rich Vitamin E content helps to minimise wrinkles, and tackles loss of elasticity and hyper-pigmentation. ts anti-inflammatory properties make it a great for reducing signs of eczema and psoriasis, helping to decrease redness and itchiness.

Apricot Oil can be used directly on the skin to moisturize hands, nails and cuticles, help improve skin complexion and assist in reducing dark circles around the eyes. The versatile Apricot Kernel Oil can also be used as a hair mask to help nourish and strengthen hair, and has also been known to help treat hair loss. The oil's makeup makes it a perfect, lightweight natural moisturiser that adds much-needed nutrients to the hair and scalp.
