Our organically crafted Bitter Gourd Seed Oil is cold pressed from the seeds of Momordica charantia [Family: Cucurbitaceae], a tropical vine widely grown in Asia, Africa, and the Caribbean for its edible fruit, popularly called Bitter Melon, Bitter Apple, Karela, Bitter Squash. Bitter Gourd fruit has a distinct warty looking exterior with an oblong shape and is considered to have therapeutic value, especially for those suffering from diabetes.

Bitter Gourd Oil has a unique fatty acid profile since it contains relevant amounts of conjugated fatty acid Alpha-Eleostearic Acid, a positional and geometric isomer of Alpha-Linolenic Acid. This omega-3 fatty acid is known to improve the skin's firmness and prevent fine lines by advancing collagen formation, proven to speed up the healing process and decrease the formation of keloid scars.

REPORTED BENEFITS AND USES

Bitter Gourd Seed Oil is a highly-nutritive vegetable oil that helps bring back moisture and suppleness to even the most dry and damaged hair. Bitter Gourd Oil is a great option for hot oil massages and pre-shampoo treatments for preventing dandruff, scalp flaking, and restoring your hair and scalp's natural moisture. Additionally, because of its ability to penetrate deep within the skin, it can help boost skin's natural collagen production and provide UV protection, both of which can prevent premature skin aging. Bitter Melon Seed Oil is also a good source of antioxidants, which help the body combat free radicals and other potentially damaging elements.

Bitter Gourd Seed Oil is also anti-inflammatory and anti-microbial, making it an ideal ingredient in skincare formulations to fight acne breakouts, and other skin conditions such as eczema and psoriasis. These harmonious qualities give this oil its supreme power, with a unique composition that can be harnessed to give enlightening benefits to skin. Bitter Squash Seed Oil is often used as an ingredient in high-end creams, serums, lip balms, and sunscreens.
