Our organically crafted Brazil Nut Oil is cold pressed from the nuts of Bertholletia excelsa, also called Castanha do Para, a South American tree in the family Lecythidaceae. Brazil Nut Oil is clear yellowish oil, which has a mild, pleasant nutty smell and a light texture, giving it a great versatility for use in a wide array of innovative high-end skincare products.

Nutritionally, Brazil Nuts are an excellent source of selenium and a good source of magnesium and thiamine. Selenium encourages the production of Glutathione, the most important antioxidant that protects the body from free radical damage. The rich concentration of vitamins, antioxidants, and other nutrients enables Brazil Nut Oil to penetrate deep into skin layers and vitally improve the skin health.

Brazil Nut Oil possesses a unique fatty acid profile that includes omega-6 and omega-9 fatty acids, which can help improve skin's moisture level by reducing Trans-Epidermal Water Loss (where the skin loses water to the surrounding environment via evaporation). Linoleic Acid integrates into the cell membranes to fortify the skin barrier and smooth and soften skin. The high content of Selenium and Vitamin E in Brazil Nut Oil deliver superior anti-oxidative and anti-aging properties to combat free radicals. Thanks to its ability to help defend against oxidative stress, Bertholletia Excelsa Seed Oil can improve skin's appearance by smoothing and firming the skin, offering protection against sun damage, and reducing the appearance of blemishes, wrinkles, and stretch marks.

Brazilnut Oil contains high amounts of omega 6 and 9 fatty acids, which stimulate the production of sebum in the scalp, conditioning the hair naturally and delivering outstanding moisturising properties for a great shine. Brazilnut Seed Oil is also used in shampoos, conditioners and hair treatments. Its moisturizing capabilities can help soothe extremely dry skin as well as help to alleviate painful itching and inflammation associated with many skin ailments like eczema and acne. The deeply exfoliating and cleansing properties of Brazil Nut Oil are what enables this exquisite oil to give the skin a more toned and tightened appearance.
