In the wake of COVID-19 pandemic situation, our supply chain has hugely been affected and we had to reduce our stocks of some of our products (particularly hydrosols and body butters). We will be back in stock with most of our products once things start getting back to normal. Apart from this, almost all of the essential oils, carrier oils and absolutes are in stock with us. We request your patience and understanding during these difficult times.

Our organically crafted Kanuka Essential Oil is steam distilled from the leaves and twigs of the bushy Kunzea ericoides trees growing wild in the East Cape of New Zealand. The Maori people have traditionally used the Kanuka tree, also known as White Tea Tree, to assist with skin issues and help with joint and muscular pain and inflammation.

Kanuka Essential Oil comes from the Myrtaceae family, which also includes Tea Tree and Manuka. Wild harvested from the East Cape of the North Island of New Zealand, where the varieties of Manuka and Kanuka are proven to have unusually powerful anti-inflammatory, anti-bacterial and anti-fungal properties. However considering the chemical makeup, the Kanuka Oil seems to be somewhat more closely related in composition to Australian Tea Tree Essential Oil than to New Zealand Manuka Essential Oil.

REPORTED BENEFITS AND USES

Along with being highly effective at reducing unwanted bacterial, fungal, or viral activity, Kanuka Essential Oil helps with managing pain and inflammation, making it excellent for treating a myriad of skin issues. It is also wonderfully supportive for the respiratory system when you have a cold or flu, especially when one is experiencing congestion. It is rapidly absorbed through the skin and nasal mucosa, so applying the oil topically and using it through steam inhalation is very effective. Because of its strong anti-inflammatory effect, Kanuka Essential Oil is good for chronic inflammatory conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis and fibromyalgia. It is even prized as a perfume.

Emotionally and energetically, the fresh, herbaceous, sweet, earthy aroma of Kanuka Essential Oil is highly uplifting and energizing. Thanks to its calming effects, Kanuka Oil may also help with sleep support.
